Summerhill is staffed by a great team of hard-working
and dedicated veterinary professionals, each bringing their own
particular skills and interests to the practice.

Jane Feneley B.Vet.Med. M.R.C.V.S.
Jane is married with a vet husband and two children. They
live just outside Fakenham and take an active interest in
the local community. Jane qualified
in 1991 and worked in mixed practice before setting up this
practice in 1993. Jane has a
keen interest in emergency medicine and small animal thoracic
and orthopaedic surgery. She has a Labrador, two cats, two
horses and two ponies.

Lucy Rivett BVSc. M.R.C.V.S.
Lucy has known the local area since she was a child. She lives
just outside Fakenham and is married with two young children.
Since qualifying in 2001, Lucy has developed a particular interest
in ophthalmology and ultrasonography. She has a Border terrier,
a Labrador cross Springer spaniel, one cat and two tortoises. |

Michelle Barnard B.Vet.Med. M.R.C.V.S
Michelle joined us in 2007 from the Royal Vet College, London.
Michelle has a wide range of interest but especially enjoys
feline medicine. She lives in Fakenham, with her two cats.
Her interests range from feline medicine to the diagnosis
and treatment of feline specific conditions.

Suzanna Hebert B.Vet.Med.
M.R.C.V.S
Suzanna Hebert lives in Fakenham and qualified from the Royal
Veterinary College in 2008. Her main areas of interest are diagnostic
imaging, surgery and rabbit medicine, although she is keen to
get a good grounding in all aspects of general veterinary practice.
In the past she has owned her own horse and numerous rabbits.

Rodrigo Pinheiro de Lacerda
D.V.M
Rodrigo qualified in Portugal in 2006. Initially he spent 9
months working in a small animal practice there before coming
to England. He has recently completed a years internship in
Newmarket at the Animal Health Trust. At the Trust he spend
time rotating through the varying disciplines and became interested
in ophthalmology. Subsequently, to improve his knowledge he
has spent time with several ophthalmology specialists throughout
the UK. He lives in Fakenham. |

Nadine Fletcher R.V.N, CERT AAB, Dip
Can Psy, MBVNA
Nadine is our head nurse and has been qualified since 1992.
She lives in Fakenham and is married with two young children.
She has gained the certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour,
(Southampton University) and a diploma in canine psychology.
Nadine sees behaviour cases on an in-house and referral basis
and has played a major part in the setting up of our very
popular nurses clinics and runs our puppy parties. In 2004
she won the BVNA award for veterinary nurse of the year. Nadine
has two Cocker spaniels, two cats, a tortoise and several
giant African land snails.

Sue Scott V.N. A1 Assessor
Sue qualified in 1992. She has numerous interest which include
senior pet clinics and ferret care. She is also a qualified
assessor, and helps in the training our trainee nurses, as
well as being responsible for the practice Health and Safety.
Sue has a Labrador, two terriers, a cat, two ferrets and numerous
chickens.

Kirsty Holden R.V.N
Kirsty qualified in 2006. Her particular area of interest
is anaesthesia, in which she recently undertook an advanced
modular course which she passed with merit. Kirsty also enjoys
hand rearing orphan kittens. Her family farm both sheep and
cattle and she has a Labrador and two cats.

Hannah Myburgh R.V.N
Hannah returned to practice to complete her NVQ3 after spending
time raising her young family. She completed it in 2007 and
has since taken on many of our cases requiring nutritional advice.
She runs successful weight clinics and plans to further her
interest by completing the City and Guilds certificate in small
animal nutrition. She has two cats and a terrier. |

Steph Daykin
R.V.N
Steph took her final nursing exams exams in summer 2008 and
is now qualified. She enjoys nursing intensive care cases and
looking after any of our hospitalised patients. She has a Springer
spaniel and a Jack Russell terrier. |

Sam Ford
Sam started her training for her NVQ2 in September 2008, under
the guidance of Nadine and Sue. As part of her qualification
requires her to gain reception skills, you may well meet her
on the reception desk. Her family has a Springer Spaniel,
a cat, two ferrets and 2 pet sheep.

Mandy Spicer
Mandy joined us officially in August 2009. However over the
previous year she's been spending two days a week at Summerhill
as part of her veterinary nursing assistant course. She has
completed that now, and like Sam will train to become a qualified
veterinary nurse with our two assessors. Mandy decided on this
career course slightly later in life than most nursing students,
and as a result brings with her a wealth of experience including
running a dogs shelter in Spain for 3 years. She has a Lab cross
Pointer and a Giant Schnauzer. |

Julie Jarvis
Julie joined us in 2004 and is our nursing assistant. She assists
the nurses in helping to make sure their day to day tasks run
smoothly, as well as being responsible for the running of all
our in house blood tests. She has a Labrador and a cat. |

SUPPORT
STAFF
Julie, Debbie, Lyn and Toni are our reception
staff. They play a huge role in the running of the practice
and ensure our clients are always greeted with a smile. Julie
and Debbie have both been at the practice for over 13 years
and so know most of our clients (and their pets) by face if
not by name.
In addition to reception duties, Lyn is
responsible for processing insurance claim forms and Toni
for administrative duties. Between them they own numerous
pets, including dogs, cats, horses and rabbits.
