Free health checks
PuppyFree ‘6 Months of age’ checks are offered to all registered puppies and kittens. Pets will receive a full health check from a nurse and advice is available on weight, dental care, parasite control, insurance, identification, neutering and breeding. Senior pets over the age of 7 yrs are eligible for a free full health check from a nurse. This can be very beneficial since early detection of heart disease or tumours could save your pets life. Blood sampling is optional (at extra cost) but allows early diagnosis of liver or kidney disease. Advice is also available on diet, weight and dental care.

Free dental checks
Have your pets teeth checked by a nurse for any decay or damage. Routine dental care and free, regular six monthly dental checks can help avoid costly dental surgery. A free reminder service is available on request.

Free weight-watcher clinics
For pets that are prone to weight gain or already have a tubby tummy. Advice on low calorie diets and routine weight checks are available. If your pet is prescribed a low calorie food you can enter a pet slimmer competition with a chance to win a holiday for 2!

Puppy Parties

It’s great experience and fun for your puppy to meet other pups and other people. Learn the aspects of basic training (sit, stay, heel), common behavioural problems and how to avoid them. Puppy PartyBroaden your knowledge of pesty parasites (fleas, worms, ticks etc.), first aid, dental care, nutrition and neutering. Join in the fun and games and take home information on all the above topics, plus trial packs of dental care, diet and a book entitled ‘How to have a happy puppy’. Places are restricted to 6 pups per party, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Kitten evenings (9 weeks - 5 months old)
Held once a month, advice will be given on parasites, vaccination, microchipping, dental care, nutrition, first aid, behavioural problems and how to avoid them.

Practice Tours
If you are interested in evening tours, these can be arranged. A nurse or vet will show you all our facilities and equipment. We will be happy to answer questions about the equipment and every day running of the practice.
